At Copperworks, we are passionate about local agriculture and our local communities. We source local barley - Salmon-Safe certified barley when we are able - and celebrate local terroir with each release. Seeing the devastation caused by the Spokane Complex Fire this week has been heartbreaking, and our hearts go out to every person who has been impacted.
How You Can Help
For the entire month of August, we are donating $20 of every Farmsmith bottle sold to the H.O.M.E. Starts Here Spokane Complex Fire Relief Fund. This fund will be used to supply short- and long-term rent assistance, medical equipment, transportation services, and many other services to help the community recover.
Why Farmsmith?
Farmsmith American Single Malt Whiskey was created to celebrate the barley fields of Washington by exploring the impact of single variety, single farm, and single growing year barley. Our current release of Farmsmith is made with single varietal Genie barley which was grown 20 miles west of Spokane and malted by LINC Malt in Spokane, friends who have been instrumental to our distilling journey for many years.
LINC Malt honors the work of skilled Inland Northwest farmers, remains committed to farmer-owned farms, and prioritizes relationships that span the grain supply chain. They take an already wonderful product (barley) and add to that story.
