2025 Release Wrap

A single cask of our Washington peated whiskey! When we bottled our first batch of Peatsmith American Single Malt Whiskey, we set aside Single Cask No. 497 to continue maturing. Almost a year later, we released this unique variant of one of our core whiskeys.

This special release is made from a Queen’s Run, utilizing the heads and tails of our signature Five Malt recipe and single varietal Genie malt. It was then matured in a refilled American Single Malt Whiskey cask for seven years and eight months and bottled at its cask strength, 66.3% ABV.

Our first-ever Copperworks Whiskey Club exclusive special release, which was recently awarded Breaking Bourbon’s “Best of 2025 American Single Malt”. Copperworks Red Wine Cask American Single Malt Whiskey is distilled from single varietal Genie barley grown in Athena, Oregon, just across the Washington border in the Walla Walla Valley. The barley used in this release is certified Salmon Safe, allowing us to continue to support positive regenerative practices with every sip. It was matured for over six years in a French oak cask previously used to age red wine in Europe, bringing together locally grown barley with complex, old-world wine flavors.

This whiskey was crafted from 100% Genie Malt from Coulee Hite Farm in Reardan, Washington, and was matured in charred new American oak for four years and eight months before we tasted this, fell in love, and bottled it at cask strength, 61.15% ABV.

Our second Copperworks Whiskey Club exclusive special release, the Copperworks Amaro Cask American Single Malt Whiskey is distilled from a Queen’s Run and matured for seven years and eight months in a refilled Copperworks whiskey cask before being transferred into the amaro cask.

The amaro cask we used to finish this whiskey was a former Copperworks whiskey cask which had spent the last three years maturing Letterpress Distilling’s latest batch of Amaro Amorino Riserva, the cask-matured sibling of their beloved Amaro Amorino. After only a month of finishing, we found our whiskey had taken on a wonderful character and proceeded to bottle this beautiful whiskey.

Released in celebration of Craft Malt Month, this American Single Malt Whiskey is a single cask we held back from the lot used in our first-ever Farmsmith release. We donated $10 for every bottle sold to the Craft Maltsters Guild, to support their mission of promoting and sustaining the tradition of craft malting in North America.

Copperworks Craft Malt Month 2025 is distilled from Baronesse barley, known for its exceptional quality and rich, malty flavor. Craft Malt Month Started its journey alongside the eight casks used in our Farmsmith release and matured for four years and nine months, well over a year longer than our Farmsmith.

This whiskey is no longer available, but we still have a very limited supply of the award-winning Farmsmith this whiskey shares its heritage with.

This Kenmore Exclusive release is a collection of whiskey from some of our favorite casks, which we finished together in a single refilled Copperworks whiskey cask and bottled at cask strength, 64% ABV.

Drawn from the second-ever cask we filled back in January 2014, this release is distilled from pale malted barley and matured for over 11 years in a char #3 new American oak cask from Independent Stave Company. This deeply layered, time-tempered American Single Malt Whiskey perfectly captures our origin story in every sip. We bottled this whiskey at 104 proof, matching that of our first whiskey, Release No. 001.

Amazingly, we have a handful of bottles left. Celebrate Copperworks and American Single Malt Whiskey by picking up a bottle!

This American Single Malt Whiskey was crafted using pale malt and matured for over seven years in a refill Copperworks cask before being finished in a Cabernet Sauvignon cask from Pondera for over six months. The wine made previously in this cabernet cask was awarded gold with 92 points from the Seattle Wine Awards in 2019, and the result of this partnership is a must-taste experience.

With Pondera Winery being only a few miles away from our location in Kenmore, Washington, this release celebrates the local community we have grown alongside since opening our Copperworks Kenmore doors in 2023.

Our third Copperworks Whiskey Club exclusive release, this American Single Malt whiskey was crafted from our signature Five Malt recipe and matured for five years and seven months in a refill Copperworks whiskey cask before finished in an Arette Tequila cask for an additional one year and nine months. That’s over twice as long as our last tequila cask finish whiskey release!

Copperworks Kilt Lifter Whiskey is more than a collaboration; it’s a story about the roots of Seattle’s craft beverage scene and the people who helped define it.

This whiskey was distilled from an unhopped version of Pike’s Kilt Lifter scotch-style ale recipe, which Copperworks President and Co-Founder Jason Parker helped develop over 30 years ago during his time at Pike Brewing. We brewed the base for this whiskey using the same specifications as Pike does for their beer and we even brewed it at Pike’s iconic gravity-fed brewhouse. After more than five years maturing in new American oak casks, we are proud to present Pike Kilt Lifter Whiskey.

This whiskey was crafted from pale malt and matured for six years and eight months in a refilled Copperworks cask before being transferred to our Bottle Your Own station at 65% ABV.

This whiskey is crafted from a Queen’s Run of Genie and pale malt and was matured for five years and nine months in a new American oak cask before being transferred to our Bottle Your Own station at 60.7% ABV.

This whiskey is crafted from Fritz pale malt and was matured for five years and two months in a #3 char new American oak cask before being transferred to our Bottle Your Own station at 63.2% ABV.

This whiskey is crafted from a Queen’s Run of Fritz Pale, Fritz Vienna, and Genie Pale malts and was matured for five years and three months in a #3 char new American oak cask before being transferred to our Bottle Your Own station at 58% ABV.
